Last night after our first wednesday service Sara, a 20-something recovering meth addict, put  a silicon bracelet on my wrist and told me to live strong not even once.
“Not even once” is the slogan for the a anti-meth campaign.
First Assembly has small group of recovering meth-addicts whose lives by been changed, of whose lives have been freed from meth.
I know very little about meth. So, I went to the google.

Methamphetamine is a powerfully addictive stimulant that affects many areas of the central nervous system and causes dramatic changes in the brain.

mio-dopamine

Dopamine is the brain chemical that allows us to feel pleasure.
Meth unnaturally raises dopamine levels to more than 10 times the amount caused by life’s normal pleasures, including eating and having sex.

The Meth Project has even been running some ads that freak me out.

Today, I’m wear my bracelet not because I deal with meth.
But as a reminder to pray for those who do.
To pray for those who tempted.
For those who are in belly of making the decision right now.
May they say, “Not even once.”
