I am proud that we as a country can look beyond color to elect someone, but i feel as if the country eledcted him because he was black. We need the right person, not an ethnic person. We need the right leader regardless of gender or race. We need someone who knows how to lead and will lead us the way we need like a parent would lead and teach their child. I don't think we have found that. But i believe in the democratic process and i believe in this country, he will be the one we need or he won't be re-elected. But then I woke up to a roar of the million+ in chicago on tv. I was able to watch Obama's entire speech, on the loveseat in my living room. Best presidential speech I've heard in over 8 years. ;) I'm not going to get into it here, but suffice it to say that I've never been for talking badly about a president. I supported Clinton. I supported Bush. I will support Barrack Obama. Anyone who talks badly about him around me WILL get an earful. :) He'll soon be our president. He'll be leading our country. It is great that this country can elect someone of color. It just troubles me we voted for him a man who doesn't stand for the principals of what this nation stood for and has such a socialistic view of people and the economy. So I am glad we could break through the color barrier, I am saddened people just wanted to vote for a black man not the right black man. So it probably won't be more than a normal memory of an election night. I do pray that God can lead him and lead the decisions of Obama to benefit this nation.
