If you look, divorce would be the #1 cause of poverty in the context of what he was talking about. Which doesn't mean it is the only reason. There are lots of married people who are poor. To give one root cause that is social rather than economical is ludicrous. It ignores the countless other factors. Here is a shortlist of things causing poverty:<br/><br/>-Physical disabilty<br/>-High medical costs<br/>-Job outsourcing<br/>-Mental Illness<br/>-Substance abuse<br/>-Limitd job oppurtunities in the local area<br/><br/>As humans we want simple solutions. As Christians we blame sin for bad things. No public prayer in school + grunge/ heavy metal music = school shootings
